A Message from Rachael:
Maryrose and I met last night to talk about the foods our farmers will grow this year. They are already planning their year and ordering seeds. Is there anything you want to see on our order form this year?
This year will be particularly interesting as Paul Bowman, on e of our awesome farmers (they all are) is moving his family north to the Timmins area. He will be missed by his community, but this is an opportunity for his children to continue farming. The people in Timmins have no idea how lucky they are! Word of his move has travelled fast and other farmers have started contacting us and asking if they can grow for us. It's exciting.
Kevin at Snyder Heritage Farms wants winter back. I asked if he is worried about his maple trees and if they will get confused by 15 degree weather in January, but he assured me that it's the weather in March that affects the harvest. Just think that in a couple months we'll have new crop maple syrup! Right now, however, Kevin has lots of turkey necks and backs and is putting them on special and as well is offering starter packs of his raw ground turkey that your pet will love.
