Upcoming dates:
Monday April 15th is the last Monday pickup for the season. There is a 3.5 week break between pickups as we move to Friday pickups
FRIDAY May 10th, Friday May 24th, Friday June 7th, Friday June 21st, Friday July 5th! We may add in another Friday in June if the strawberries are ready!
- EDSS Twice as Sharp will be at our pickups. Bring your knives and scissors so that they are as sharp as you are in the kitchen!
- As the weather improves, you can bring your bike to our pickups for tune-ups and repairs by Nav of Bliss by Bike.

Time to stock up!
Maryrose and I chatted this morning and both came to the realization that this in the last pickup for 3.5 weeks! I know that in our house we need to stock up on a few things. How about you? We extended ordering until Wednesday night to give you some extra time.
If you are itching to get back into the garden like I am, be sure to check out the sale items from Traditional Gardener!
Items to stock up on:
- New crop Maple Syrup in light, medium and amber grades!
- Yogurt - Mapleton's Organic, Perth County or Monforte?
- Cheese fro Monforte, Millbank and Local Dairy
- Flour from Oak Manor
- Dried beans from Rounds
- Chocolate from Anna Tolazzi (all our Easter Chocolate is gone!)
- Potatoes and Carrots. Awesome storage crops!
- Golden Guernsey Milk from Eby Manor (it's always long dated!)
- Coffee Beans - You grind it so it stays fresh!
- Tomatoes (they really do continue to get better with time) Toasted Tomato sandwiches anyone?
- From These Roots Jams - Look for the Family sized jars and the sale items!
- Bread - Freezes well!
- Awesome sausages from Gumboot Gourmet and Snider's
- Tempeh from Henry!
- Noodles and Pasta from J&D Peters.
- Peanuts for snacks
- Tortillas, Tamales, Tostadas and Tacos. Did you see the new Tamale flavour? It's Bean and Beef!
- Tasty Glutend free baking from Tia's Bakery and Winnie's Gluten-Free Foods! I love them both!
Items to eat right away:
- Goat Cheese and Carmelized Onion Tarte from Ambrosia Pastry Co.
- Spinach and greens (though they last for weeks also!)
- Microgreens and shoots! Cruncy and good for you!
We're not offering these through Bailey's, but if you want to buy roasting chickens from Sam Bowman in Wallenstein. You can pick them up fresh at his farm on April 11th, but you need to call ahead to tell him how many you want! His number is 519-698-2960 and if you've never been to his farm before ask for directions. I hear it isn't GPS friendly.. =) The birds are $3.75/lb and about 5-6 lbs. They have been fed organic grain, raised inside with room to move around and will be processed at Country Poultry.
